Terms of Use

1. About Us

Al Tahtheeb is a company registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headquartered in Dammam. We operate a group of national and international schools for boys and girls across the Eastern Province.

2. Acceptance and Registration Conditions

1. The student must pass the written entrance test and personal interview.
2. New students are accepted provided there are no outstanding financial obligations owed by the guardian.
3. Tuition fees must be paid within two (2) working days from passing the interview.
4. All required documents must be submitted within five (5) working days from the interview date.
5. Failure to provide documents by the deadline releases the school from responsibility for Ministry of Education file approval.
6. Students with special needs: the guardian bears any additional costs.
7. The school is the sole authority for accepting or rejecting registration.
8. To ensure continuation, the student's quality-control average must not fall below 85%.

3. Contract Duration

The contract covers one academic year from the date of enrollment. It does not renew automatically — renewal requires payment of current and upcoming fees and electronic confirmation of continuation.

4. Tuition Fees and VAT

All fees (tuition, transport, paid programs, etc.) are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) in accordance with the regulations of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).

Non-refundable interview/assessment fee for new students: SAR 1,000 (International Schools) / SAR 800 (National Schools). If the school rejects the student, this fee is refunded.

5. Fee Refund Policy

6. Sibling Discounts

1. SAR 1,000 discount for each subsequent sibling after the first enrolled child.
2. All siblings must remain enrolled throughout the year and comply with the payment policy.
3. The sibling discount is cancelled if any sibling transfers at any time during the year.
4. Multiple discounts cannot be combined — the highest applicable discount applies.
5. Any discount is cancelled upon failure to pay fees on scheduled dates.

7. Late Payment Consequences

If fees are not paid on time, the school has the right to:

1. Revoke the approved discount and apply full fees.
2. Pursue payment through all legal means; the guardian bears all collection costs.
3. Refuse student entry and suspend access to electronic platforms.
4. Withhold promotion to the next grade until full payment.
5. Withhold exam results and refuse to issue educational certificates.
6. Withhold the student's record in the Noor system and classify as defaulter.
7. Retain academic documents pending full financial settlement.

8. Transportation Service

Transportation is governed by a separate contract with advance payment per semester. Fees are non-refundable upon withdrawal, suspension for behavioral issues, or school withdrawal. Service may be suspended for non-payment or repeated tardiness.

9. Guardian Obligations

1. Disclose all chronic health and psychological conditions of the student. Non-disclosure entitles the school to terminate the contract without refund.
2. Preserve school property and cover any damages caused by the student.
3. Comply with school uniform requirements and attendance regulations.
4. Attend parent council meetings and maintain communication with administration.
5. Comply with any amendments to school policies on registration, discounts, and withdrawal.

10. Contract Termination

The school reserves the right to terminate enrollment while retaining all financial rights in cases of: non-payment, misconduct, property damage, academic underperformance, or breach of any contract clause.

11. Notifications

Official notifications are delivered by hand, mail, email, SMS, or the e-learning platform. All methods constitute valid legal notification.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In case of dispute, the General Court in Dammam shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

The school reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
